Continue readingResponding to the imperative of transitioning to a low-carbon and cost-effective energy system in China, ERI has launched the China Energy Transformation Program (CET), which is jointly fund by Children’s Investment Fund Foundation (CIFF) and the government of Denmark. Within the project, the Energy Research Institute of Chinese Academy of Macroeconomic Research (ERI of AMR), Danish Energy Agency (DEA), the Center on Global Energy Policy (CGEP) of Columbia University and Norwegian Agency for Development Cooperation (Norad) jointly monitor and assess China’s ongoing energy policy developments and energy transition strategies, including renewable energy, coal transition, power market reform, power system flexibility and power grid development. As part of this monitoring, the project publishes the China Energy Policy Newsletter monthly via email.
