Thermal Power Plant Flexibility report launched at CEM9 in Copenhagen
CNREC, Danish Energy Agency (DEA), Electric Power Planning and Engineering Institute (EPPEI), Energinet and Ea Energy Analyses will jointly publish a report entitled “Thermal Power Plan Flexibility” during the 9th Clean Energy Ministerial (CEM9) in Copenhagen at the end of May. This report presents experiences from Denmark and China regarding the technical aspects and benefits of enhancing thermal power plant flexibility and analyses of flexibility in the future Chinese energy system, based on CNREC’s power system model EDO. The report highlights the importance of market-based incentives based on experiences in Denmark and the rest of Europe.
